Which civics test will you take?

USCIS lets you study only the 20 marked questions. The officer asks 10 of them, and 6 correct answers pass.
On the real test, a USCIS officer asks the questions out loud and stops as soon as you pass or fail. Here you answer at your own pace, see the official answers, and mark yourself. Nothing you do here is sent to USCIS.

Choose your test. The date you filed Form N-400 decides which version USCIS gives you. That is the only thing we ask you.
Answer out loud, then check yourself. There is no multiple choice here, because there is none in the interview. Say your answer, reveal the official one, and mark yourself honestly.

- Is this the real test?
- These are the real questions and the real answers. The test itself is a conversation with a USCIS officer, so what happens here is practice — never a score, a prediction, or anything USCIS sees.
- Do I need an account, or a card?
- No. Every question, every answer, and your result work without one. An account is offered after a session only so you can come back to the questions you missed.
- What if I keep missing questions?
- That is what practice is for. Each session draws its questions fresh, so run it as many times as you like — the ones you miss come back around.
